Workshops

Each month with the exception of July and August, CDG hosts a workshop on a topic related to children’s development, education and needs. These workshops are designed to provide families and individuals working and interacting with children, teens and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other exceptionalities with an understanding of challenging behaviours and practical strategies on how to manage specific areas of need/behaviours.

Examples of some topics that may be addressed are:

• Toilet training
• Communication systems
• IEP/IPRC meetings- how to navigate the school system to better help your child
• Emotional regulation
• Generalization of skills into the home and community
• Social Skills and the child with Aspergers and Autism

Parents or guardians of a child enrolled at CDG are entitled to 3 free workshops of their choice/calendar year.
